Default blower motor

I read alot of the posts on here and had a question (or 2) about the blower motor. I have a 98 V70 Turbo and there is no airflow from the vents. If I switch the settings from feet to dash etc I hear what sounds to be the system setting the air to flow from the proper ventsbut still no air. At startup I get the blinking lights. I can go to autozone to pull the codes but I was wondering if it's already a 99% chance that it's my blower motor and I should just go get a new one. I'm in a hurry as this is my wifes car, I live in Chicago and it is damn cold. If I don't fix this quickly she'll take it to the stealership.

Laslty how do I access the blower motor?

Thanks in advance

1. Replace the blower motor and resistor. (Auto Zone usually can't read climate codes)
2.Remove the glove box insert then the lower dash panel. Remove the black metal bracket 3 13mm screws. Then you can see the blower motor and easily access it.

thnk you much. One last question I was going to order the parts through FCP Groton however they don't discern if you have a manual or electronic climate control. Does that matter for the motor and resistor? I'd hate to order them only to find out they sent me the parts for a manual when I have an electronic.

Thanks.

Just followed that link out of curiosity - unless the "blower resistor" is a wire wound platinum item with solid gold binding tabsl, the price is absurd!

Yes they are expensive but you most likely will keep burning up motors or loose everything all together without it.
