Default Brake light issues

2004 V70 w/112,000 miles, bought new and has been a great car. Yesterday the message center lit up to tell me a brake light had failed. It was the pass. side. Pulled the bulb out, sure enough it had burned out. Put a new bulb in, and to my surprise, no light. Put a different new bulb in, no light. I took the left side out and switched them, still no light on the pass. side. The driver side and the LED brake lights in the center work fine. Any ideas?

Default

Get a test light on it and make sure there is power to the contacts where the bulb seats. If not you have a wiring issue somewhere.

Angry Big oops !

Well I found the problem, it wasn't the car, it was the owner. I was changing the upper tail light bulb, not the brake light. DUH. What an idiot! I consulted the owners manual and it said to remove the speaker grill and speaker to get at the brk light bulb. Yep it was right there. No sweat.
