Default Brand of wheel bearing hub

Hi,

I have the option of buying four different brands of front wheel bearing hub (5 if you count the $275 original Volvo part) for my 2006 V70 2.5T AWD:

Ruville $167
SKF: $144
Timken: $117
Replacement: $113

I know nothing about these brands, nor was I able to find any reviews. Is this a case of more money = better product?

Thanks,

Vince

Default From my experience.....

Hello, Heavy material handling machines are fabricated where I work and Timkin bearings are always used. I'd select the Timkins. I replaced an unmarked Saab bearing with a F*A*G (Germany) recently and it seemed beefier than the original. Incomplete intell - but it's all I got. Kira

The *** and SKF seem to be decent brands.
