Default break-pedal bumpy??

Dear all,
My break pedal is -now and then!- a little bumy.
The usual 'push' is replaced by a direct 'scratch'. That is how it feels anyway.

What can this be? A break-wire getting loose? Something else?

Anybody any idea?
thanks!!

Welcome to the forum Whome.

Can you hear this scratch, and if so, can you tell about where it is coming from?

no, you cannot hear it, you just feel it in your foot!

I'm willing to bet one of your rear brake pads is down to the metal. Look at your disc's (inside and out)to see if they are scored.

bumpy brake pedal can normally indicate a warped disk (rotor) as well... the pedal vibrates

I had the same problem...felt a bit of vibration in the rear when hitting the brakes. Turned out to be warped rotors. Easy fix!
