Often but not all the time and only when cold (engine) my 2001 V70 T5 makes a brief whinning/slight grinding noise at 10 mph. Noise is coming from front end possibly transmission area. It will only do this once and only after sitting for several hours and transmission seems to be functioning fine. Had transmission rebuilt at 90k car now has 106k so I hope it is not that? Does anyone have any thoughts as to what might be causing issue???

Mine does it also, asdid my last one. I think it has something to do with the ABS. Never caused any problems so I left it.

 

I hope that is it, not in the mood to replace tranny again!
