Default "Bulb Failure Position Light"?

I'm getting the message "Bulb Failure Position Light" on my message window. Does anyone know what that means and what needs to be fixed?

Look next time it's dark and see if a bulb is burned out.

Default Bulb Position Failure -

I agree with mkc70. Got to look at each bulb closely. Just happened to me and looked all over for an answer... turned out to be left rear running light. There are 2 bulbs in the fixture and one was out. Read on a site that I should just give it a whack with the side of my hand and presto it lit up and everything is fine. Apparently, according to a Volvo tech, some bulbs just get a little loose... If it does not fix it, replace the bulb as per usual.

It's a rear running light.

I have a 2001 V70 and had rear bulbs failing every 2-4 months. The last time replacing the bulb and then replacing $11 socket did not fix it. I removed the complete light and found that the sheet metal connector used to compete the circuit is just staked into position, hence, sometime hitting the tail light is the fix. However, over time the plastic stake breaks. I simply applied a short screw in place of the stake to hold the sheet metal connector in place. 2 hours later all is well, though the dealer would have probably replaced the whole light assembly $$$$$
