Hey, Just wanted to get some feed back on this Volvo I'm about to buy. Heres what I have so far, Silver with Black 1997.5 V70 GLT, Auto of course, 94k, Timing belt done at 80k, over all not too bad for its age and mileage. The body is great with the exception of a few dings. I had the car put on a lift, had brand new Bilstiens front and rear, although the tires are shot all around. Brakes are about 60%~, every option ( spoiler and fogs even) possible except the Info computer. The main window switch is fried, left rear brake light is broken, three out of the four door panels are peeling... All this for $2,000. Heres the kicker I bought a 99 143k, full service records, V70 GLT Auto Black on Black hit hard in the rear as a parts car for $500. Now i have a few questions.

Are the Turbos the same? The Black one seems to have a newer turbo (might have been replaced), Engine runs real strong in it, timing belt has been done twice, 73k and 140k.
The interior of the Black V70 is spotless so I'm defiantly going to replace all of the door panels and whatever else I find to be broken.
Anything on the 99 thats better then the 97 that I could replace for the better? Any switches that go bad, that sort of thing. Its seems both of them have fried window switches... whats the deal with that? Smoke came out of both of them (drivers door)

And obliviously whatever I don't use anyone here is more then welcome to have for a super small price. I'm located in central PA (State College), and if everthing goes smoothly I'll be see anyone whos going to York on the 29th.
