A/C Charging, Vacuuming, Oil Filling - Post System Repair
Following a rupture the condenser and hose (receiver to expansion valve), due to impact, I had to replace these components. I'm looking for some advice on vacuuming and charging the system.
PAG Oil;
Everything is back together and I'm wondering how to charge the system and fill it with the PAG oil. I see from VADIS that there is a filling syringe tool if using the service valve. Is there another way to fill this oil? Do I top off before vacuuming?
Is there a major cost savings if I vacuum and fill using rental tools from a local supply shop and purchasing the refrigerant or just take it to a local shop?

By saying;
"Have them vacuum the system then suck the oil into the system and charge it up."
Is that sucking the oil back into the system? Or is that sucking it out then filling it along with a recharge? Do they need to know how much oil has left the system?
Maybe I'm looking into this too much? I'm sure the shop can handle it as they do it every day.....
