Hi all, I'm a Volvo noob, just bought my first one last week: 2001 V70 2.4T. Anyways, I noticed that sometimes I will walk out to my car, open the door and find the A/C is running. Is this normal?

I thought maybe it will kick on automatically when the doorsunlockor openor something, but I'm not sure.

 

Yes it is normal.
The computer turns the fan inside the car on to dry the evaperator to prevent mold from growing on it.

You're not alone. Freaked me out when my 02 V70 did the same thing.
