Default can change alternator but the belt another story

Just finished replacing my alternator. Everything went pretty well. For the life of me i can't put my serpentine back on. Is there something I'm missing. The tension pulley pulled to its max. Maybe i just don't know what pulley to do last, or will it help if i loosen a few bolts on the power steering to give me a little play. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you put it on the way it came off, do you have it looped around right? Is it not fully on a pulley, say the a/c? Should not be to difficult.

I just had an idler break on me last Thursday! $80 later, the idler was reinstalled.... but I played hell getting the belt back on as well. My suggestion is to take the two 14mm(?) bolts out, put the tensioner in a vise (or hold it somehow) and put it all the way to the max position and put a lock pin through the hole, reinstall the tensioner with one bolt loosely so it can pivot, then get the belt ran and reinstall the other bolt and tighten. *shrugs* Worked for me.
