Default Catalytic Converter price

This morning I told my mechanic to go ahead and order a new converter for my 2001 V70XC AWD non turbo. Now I'm worried because I just went online and found converters anywhere from $350 to $1020. To make things worse I told him to also order the Oxygen Sensors, which I thought were about $50 each. Looking online I am finding those up to $150 each. Any idea what the NORMAL cost is for these parts?

Volvo CAT is about a grand, 02 sensors 150-$175 and THOSE you do not want aftermarket parts.
Try to find a good aftermarket CAT and have it welded in for about $400 or so
