I was at my local PX (I'm ex-military), and noted a new Mobil oil on the shelf. Listed as "Multi Vehicle Oil ATF", I was curious. Reading the back of the container, it stated it was 3309 and Toyota type IV compliant (along with about 20+ other specifications). I guess that was the part that worried me...... How could one oil meet so many different specifications? The container stated the oil was a "Synthetic Blend", and the price was $5.89 or about the price I paid on line recently for Mobil 3309.
