Climate control **** on the driver side of my V70 got stuck. What should I do? Do I need to remove the control unit? If so how?

I found out what is wrong with the ****. The geared plastic arm where the **** mounts is broken. Is there possibility to replace this little plastic thingie?
Where can I find the climate control assembly (not the display part)?

Try finding a used one from a junkyard.
These are becoming pretty common to go bad.

I called the Volvo dealer in O'Fallon, MO and got the OEM part number for the Control and I am going to buy it from TheVolvoPartsClub.com.
Anyway, the OEM part # is 3524842

I own 2007 XC70 and ECC AUTO/fan control **** stuck in pressed state. It suppose to turn auto mode on and off by pressing on that ****. Now I can regulate fan speed but cannot press it toenable automatic control.
Any advice? Can I pray and remove **** or anything more valuable? Thanks .
