Default Code P1670??

I need to get an emissions test ASAP but I am concerned that I may fail it. When I first start my 2000 Volvo V70 AWD Wagon, the Service light goes on, after diving it down the block the service light then goes off, the car runs like new. I took it to auto zone to have them check the computer and the car is smog free and would pass, but there was a code that could be a potential problem p1670 not sure what this code means or if this code will fail emissions. Any Advice?

Default Ready

Im not sure where you live but here in Vermont I only need 3 codes ready out of 5 to pass inspection. Codes are usually ready after 7-14 miles. Not sure if this answers your question. May want to look I to your states regulations. ALSO your service light comes on everytime you start the engine, it usually goes of shortly after

2000 Volvo V70 FWD (normally aspirated), assembled in Sweden in October 1999.

I just replaced my ABS control module using an exchange from Midwest ABS. Most of the error codes (ABS, Brake, STC) immediately disappeared. The blinking arrow on the bottom left and the Check Engine light stayed on, which the instructions said was often the case for 1999+ models. As instructed, I used an ODB-II tool to clear those error codes and my dashboard is finally "dark" again! May it remain that way for a long time!

However, the ODB-II tool shows a stored Volvo code: P1670 Immobilizer Control Module Communication Error/Code Error. The ODB-II does not clear this code. Interestingly, after clearing the error codes, my V70 would not start the first time I cranked it, but it did start when I tried again. I was curious about this, so I cleared the error codes again when I got close to home. As before, my V70 failed to start the first time, but started when I turned the key off, then cranked it again.

I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed with troubleshooting this issue. I plan to make a long trip with my younger daughter in about a month, and I do not want to get stuck a thousand miles away from home with a V70 wagon that suddenly refuses to start.
