Default Battery drain

A big thanks to all who have contributed to this topic as I have benefited from all your experiences and knowledge. I am currently troubleshooting a battery drain problem on my Volvo 2010 xc60 3.2 non tubo. I had a situation where my battery was dead to the point where it could not start the car after 2 days parked. No obvious reason why it drained like interior lights on, open hatch door etc...
After charging the battery overnight the car started up fine the next day. I checked the alternator and it was charging fine at about 14.5vdc at 1500 -2000rpms. I performed a number of current drain tests with the car in the Off condition and waiting for current draws to settle down. I measured about 150ma which seemed high as I was expecting less than 50ma from all that I've read. What turned out to be causing the current drain was that I had a rear seat belt connected ( held in place a box that I was transporting). After disconnecting the seat belt the OFF condition current draw went down to an acceptable 30ma. Who would ever imagine!...
This is my contribution to the topic.Hope this helps someone chasing down a battery drain problem as there are many stories and causes...

Keep up the good work! and Thanks a million
