Default cooling fan control

I have completed a timing belt replacement kit install on my 01 V-70 project. I fired it up yesterday and noticed the radiator cooling fan does not turn on when i run the A/C. Also i have a 'low coolant' 'turn engine off' displayed on the onboard message center. (I guess thats what it is called). Is this a faulty ETC that is below the themostat housing? I have plenty of anti freeze and heat from the heat vents. Any help please?

If neither of those problems existed prior to you doing the timing belt, maybe you left something off. Usually the AC will not work with the fan off???
