Default Dash board goes blank, Bad ABS Module?

I have a 2001 V70 T5 and trying to figure out why the odometer, speedometer, everything goes blank after driving it for a couple of minutes. I read a thread on another site saying it was a motorola chip on the DIM panel. I tried getting that soldered today and it didn't help. I am thinking it may be the ABS module after reading the posts around here but don't really want to throw anymore money away. Do my symptoms sound like maybe a bad ABS module?

Everything works fine for the first couple of minutes. Then the ABS and Brake lights will come on about 5 seconds before the whole dash dies. Speedometer RPM gauge, everything goes blank. Signals won't work, windows won't roll down. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Check Vic Rocha's site at vicrocha@earthlink.

This guy will rebuild your old abs unit. Apparently half the car is wired thru the abs unit (saved $1 doing it this way, I guess). When the reputer cards inside the unit go bad, all hell breaks loose, dash, transmission, the works. He will rebuild your unit very cost effectively, guarantee it, all in a short time period. I have used this guy in the past and as far as I'm concerned, he's 100% reliable. Only hangup is he's in CAlifornia. But with priority mail, it's pretty quick.
