Default Daytime Running Lights

Is there an easy way of shutting off the DRL in an '05 V70, like pulling a particular fuse. I know they let people see you better, but until this is mandated where I live I'll take my chances. The manual only says to take it to your dealer, of course. Thanks.

The Dealer has to do it with the computer system.

Thanks, tech. I was afraid of that. Well, it's my wife's car, anyway, and she wants them left on.

Why would you ever want to turn them off?? I have a 98 and I turn the headlight switch to on and they are on all the time the car is running. When the key is off they go off. I see cars with the lights on, long before I see one without. It's a good safety device.

I suppose part of the reason is the tiny bit of rebel in me (I do live in the South, too). Sometimes Big Brother goes a little too far. And, I'm also a cheapskate and don't like wearing out my bulbs prematurely.

If you get into an accident because of this, you will think otherwise.

I agree with you! Driving in the city is a waste of bulbs and the power necessary to keep them burning!
