Default downpipe?!

hey all, I'm new to turbos and this forum and have some questions. I'm working through my stage 0 upgrades right now and i've been reading about stages 1,2,3 specifically downpipe mods. is this something that only a V70R uses?

also, in terms of CAI's - from what I've read, colder air into the turbo increases HP. I live in Canada which on average can have a 60 degree variance throughout the year. does this mean that in the winter I will benefit from the cold with greater HP?

thanks

1. Any turbo model Volvo has a downpipe. 240,740,960,850,s70,v70,s40,s60,Etc....

2. Colder air is better for your turboed car yes. In the winter you may see some increases in power, but it wont be HUGE. Plus no one really makes CAI's for our cars, you'd have to make one yourself.

could anyone recommend an aftermarket downpipe. Everyone that I have seen on performance websites all spec them for R models only.

Even though in the paragraph description they say s60R/v70R in the title it says AWD. If you have further questions about fitment please call EuroSportTuning and talk to Frank.

Viva Performance has one albeit pricey (Very pricey). Try to contact George and talk to him.

I put one of his pipes on. It's nice. They're out of stock right now though.
