I was just given a drain plug (pt # 986833) and copper washer (pt # 18818) by the parts manager today. I looked the part numbers up on FCPGroton, and they did not match. Did Volvo change the part numbers at any time? I have a 98 V70 T5.

They change the part#'s all the time.
