Default Driver Window fiasco

Window went down the other morning, didn't come back up

Read all I could on possible solutions, pulled the panel off to check if the motor had power going to it, then realized I'd need to drill out the rivets to get the motor off. This after getting pretty mad and having yanked and jiggled the loosened window plate in the pouring rain

So I decided to take the switch apart and see what was going on in there before drilling the rivets...I sprayed it up real good, scarped some fuzz away, put it back together and the window had life again ( YES....I thought)

Now my window is coming up all off center. The back pushes fine but the front doesn't. I have no idea now what to do. I lowered the window 2' and reset the plate so the bolt marks lined up exact, did nothing. The front scissor arm wheel doesn't look like its moving in the track...stuck in middle no matter where the window is open or closed, the back wheel moves freely.

Did I jiggle something off you think? I've never done a window reseat before and I'm not sure I have the patience actually...how hard is it to get this tracking right again?

Thanks for any help,

Jay

any diagrams of whats going on in there available? I went to some parts stores around here to get a Haynes and they don't carry Volvo ones...guy said most people with Volvo's don't fix them themselves...

thanks for the response, I'll go googling, but if there are any links to a diagram you know of I'd be indebted.

nice, first link was to you guys

https://volvoforums.com/forum/archiv...p/t-14560.html

I know what you mean now...I think it might be broke as well. I saw a link today where a guy uses sliding door rollers on his Volvo, had pictures and a 6-8 hour time frame
