Smile ecu/ecm problems

pulled the unit and cleaned all contacts , put a little dab of dielectric compound on femaile side of plugs and put it back together...had a time getting it out....had to be very gentle...but what I did seems to have done the trick. FYI since your a 2000 model. Your ECU is married to your car. Thusly you'd have to go to the dealership to have them program one for your car. If you do need a new ECU at some point.

Yup found that out from a friend in Canada...turns out the ECU is running fine, I've been told they are a tough unit. I repair and build computers on the side here at home...so between that knowledge and the replies on the forums.....I went in another direction...thanks for the reply.
