Front axle bolt torque? Service manual?
HI All- first time Volvo (2002 V70 T5) owner with easy questions:
1. Planning an outing to the garage one night this week to do a ball joint and some swaybar links- any ideas on the torque for the axle bolt? Other cars usually have a monster nut holding the preload on the wheelbearings that needs 200+ ft lbs, why is that bolt so little?
2. Without putting yourself or the forum in a tight spot, could anyone provide a hint as to what google search term might bring up a downloadable OEM type service manual for the V70? I have not had much luck finding anything viable.....
Thanks!

Sure, I can find that torque setting if you can be more specific on the part. As far as a manual goes, I have a European Haynes manual that I like a LOT. It was really hard to find! I drive an '01 V70 T5, and the manual covers '00 to '04.
I'd like to know the tightening spec for the drive axle-to-hub retaining bolt myself. By the looks of things, it appears that it would be a whole lot easier to do this job with the drive axle disconnected., especially if the control arm will be replaced also.
