Does ANYONE have information about removing the front headrests. They make a noticeable rattle in the channels, and I want to bring them up enough to shim the channels, or figure out another repair. Otherwise, she's very quiet on the road. Aggravating.

 

I found an answer to my own question (no thanks to this Forum). I'm posting it for others, who might be googling. The front headrests on a V70 (1998 -1999 etc) slide down into plastic sleeves. There is a release at the bottom of the plastic sleeve that has to be pushed in from the back of the seat. You follow the line of the bars down approx 4" and press in hard through the seat backon both sides. It's just above where the padded back meets the flat seat panel upholstery. It takes two people, because you need to putgood upward pressure on the headrest to slide it out.

I try to keep up the best I can. If I or someone else misses one just BUMP it and then we should see it again.
