Default Fuel cap and tailgate won`t unlock

Hiya,

i`m currently putting my 51 plate V70 T5 Estate back on the road after 2 years of being parked up. I`ve replaced the battery as the old one went dead and now the tailgate and the fuel flap don`t unlock. The rest of the doors all unlock fine and the fuses seem ok but i might have some relays missing, the 1st, 3rd and 4th down the left and the 1st, 3rd and 4th along the top

I`ve managed to remove the trim on the inside of the tailgate and unlock it manually and i`ve also removed the trim to gain access to the inner rear quarter where the fuel flap locking mechanism is.
What should i do, have i done something wrong when i reconnected the battery?

And if anyone can inform me of what the missing relays are i`d be really grateful.

Thank you.

Cycle your door lock 3-5 times with the remote or at the door w/key.

Sorry for being ignorant but i don`t understand what you mean by " cycle your door lock " ! Could explain to me exactly what to do i`d be extremely grateful. I`v etried locking and unlocking the car loadsa times but the doors just keep unlocking and locking, the fuel cap and tailgate do nothing. It seems as if the motors aren`t even trying.

If you've checked your fuses, and they worked when you parked it, then you need to check for voltage at the motors.
The wiring for the tailgate usually fails at the hinge point.
