Fuel Problems
OK The wifes car went to the shop for tires so I thought I'd drive the V70 for a couple days. Changed the oil, the car cranked for a while then started. I waited about an hour and checked resting fuel pressure, got just a small spurt. I then turned the ignition on without starting the car, no pressure at all. Then I went to the rear and banged on the floor, still no pressure. I then tried to crank it and after 15-20 seconds it started right up and had no driveability issues. Is it safe to ASSUME that since it has little resting pressure its probably the check valve that is bad with maybe a cranky pump, or maybe the relay? Its been acting like this for a while. Thanks.
Does the pump get voltage when the ignition is on? I checked it today and it got no voltage with the switch on, 10.91 when I activated the starter. I'm just trying to make sure its the pump and not the relay.
The pump will get Voltage for a second oe 2 when you turn it on then when you crank it you will get voltage again.
It works off sensors if the engine isn't running/cranking the pump is off.
