Question geartronic doesnt engage manual trip stays in auto

just brought a volvo v 70 the guy told me about the issue when you select manual it still stays as auto can anyone shed some light with out costing the earth

When selecting the manual option, the "brains" will over ride you if you are asking the tranny to shift to points it shouldn't. Please describe the indications you see, as well as what's happening. Your description is so generic, I'm not sure anyone can help.

Default geartronic issue bad or not bad going to buy tomorrow.pls help

when selecting the manual side of the box it acts the same as auto meaning there is no up or down shift the guy was told it was a fuse or something i dont know im going to pick the car up tomorrow what should i test to see what is

There is sensors in the cover that see the handle in the manual mode maybe something is unplugged.

hi, i have the same problem i remove the cover because this was broke and actually i thiks that its the cause. @tech if you have a image of the ubication of this sensor , ill be grateful with you. tanks for
