Glove Box

RE: Glove Box
When you open it slide your hands over the glove box, into the back, and there are two pieces of plastic that catch on two corrosponding pieces of plastic (it's difficult to explain, but with your hands in the back, move the glove box and you should feel them hitting against each other, one on the left and one on the right). Now those two pieces can be pulled away slightly so that they no longer come in contact with the other pieces. Then there is a mini "shock", usually on the center console side, which the top part just pops out (pulling towards yourself, be carful, I broke mine the second time I pulled it out). Now the glove box should be "laying" on the ground and you should be able to see all the torx screws (3 top, 2 either side, 3 bottom as far as I remember). You can undo them and take the glove box out completely (not forgetting to unplug courtesy light) or you can just fasten all the screws and put it all back together.

RE: Glove Box
Ironically, one of those two pieces of plastic broke on me last night when i got home. The one on the driver's side of the glove box cracked when I put too much pressure on it, which wasn't even that much. I think it was the cold. I have to slip some JB weld on it and hope it holds. Be careful not to do that like I did.

RE: Glove Box
I don't know if anyone has tried this before....but I sorta fixed the glove box sagging problem.I pulled the two metal pins out that the glove box hinges on and took just the box part out. The frame was still attached to the car. I put the metal pins back into the frame and heated the plastic around them with a small propane torch to just soften them up and then with a wrag I pushed hinges back and up to tighten them up. Well I just did the left hinge. Reassembled it all and the sag is MUCH MUCH better. It really evened out the gap around the glove box and it looks a hundred times better. Just gotta be careful not to melt them too much.
