Default heater core remmoval

tech
i followed the directions on the link that you gave me. however, in removing the pipes from the core base, i emptied a great deal of fluid. i presently have a rag stuffed in the tube to stem the flow. is there a place to pinch the line to cut the flow in order to put he new core in?

thanks

You can pinch both rubber hoses under the hood that go through the firewall. It is in about the middle of the firewall.

got the core back in.
now, to clean up my mess....
ethylene glycol is into the foam under the driver side rug as well as in the foot room behind the drivers seat. what is the best approach for dealing with this so the wife does not shoot me?

thanks

Cut the foam out in one section if you can.
Which usually requires removing the front seat and removing the carpet to get to the foam.
Then usually you can put some pressure on the foam and get most of it to come out.

Slide the seat all the way foward then remove the 2 covers to gain access to the rear screws.
