Post Help Me Please.

I have just bought a 2003 Dec V70 D5. My problem is the running lights have been switched off. How can I turn them on again, please?

On the first gen V70's yes, you are right. (In Canada that screw is a solid disc as running lights are mandatory on 1990 and later models and cannot be disabled). At some point though, I believe it became (surprise, surprise) a software thing. I seem to recall somebody complaining on their late model car that a dealer had to do it for them. I'm not sure if there was a charge, or just the hassle. You can't even add foglights to the new ones without software installs.

So...check the headlight switch first for that small screw, if it's not there you may need to call a dealer. Or maybe someone here who knows much better than I will chime in.

Thanks but it seems mine is a later model no screw. I will have to contact the dreaded Main Agent!
