Default HELP! POWER WINDOW INOP!!

Hey, so my driver side window just decided to go inop. Well, not totally. It goes down, but it will not go up. I'm assuming it's my switch. I was hoping to switch the connectors and give my side power so it would go up but this is not working. What can I do to at least put my window up?? Thanks a lot.

Youcould take a volt meter and check the Ohms/resistance and the E/volts.
maybe the circuit is open? I have the same problem with one of my windows.
still never figured it out. It could be that a semi conductor went bad. maby u could fix it with a new switch?
this is very common. here is some prices if u want to try and do it your self.

Hey thanks for the info. I did manage to get the window up just by jumping from the connector to the back of the motor. However.... I now have a more interesting problem. My driver side window will still go down, but so does my driver side rear and my pass. front. They all go down but do not go up. This was not the case before. I am new to the Volvo world and right now.... I don't like it. I've been toying around outside, but I live in Boston and it's cold and dark out now. I'll have to find an EWD and look at the schematic tomorrow. Any insight anyone might have as to why they go down and not up (with all the switches, not just the driver main) would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Especially considering it has just developed.

I would replace the master switch first then take it from there.

That was my first thought which I will probably do anyways. But with the other windows, driver rear and pass front, doing the same thing I would suspect that it is now more than a switch. The switches on those doors also do go down but not up.
