Hi to all can i ask a question i have a volvo v70 mk2, on top af the roof under roof rail. is a finisher i think it is discribed as drip rail finisher it runs from front to back as anyone replaced them if so what sort of job is it .All the paint is missing on one side and i looks a mess.Regards to all.Trev.

 

You mean a P2 car, (no such thing as a mk2)?
I'm also assuming this is an 01. ALL 01 roof strips were bad and the color faded out.
They can be removed for paint or mask them and paint them on the car.

The only other thing you can do is order new ones (which are now good and don't fade)

 

Usually when you remove the molding the clips break. So you might want to get new clips. They pop off pretty easy. Usually if you pull them towardsyou when standing looking at thecar they will come off pretty easy.

Hi have been on to dealers to price up drip rail insert to replace both sides will come to £600 or more pounds .So i think they will get painted on the car for quick job in that way no clips will be broken . Thanks for all the help. regards Trev.
