Default Is loose 'on center' steering normal?

Hello All,

I have a new to me 2008 V70 that has some pretty loose on center feel to the steering. It takes a lot of concentration when driving next to construction barriers and other traffic. Is this just the nature of the car!? I had the dealer check it out and align it. Tires are ok and there are no other obvious signs of a problem. It has 30k miles and the struts seems really soft to me but I'm used a BMW 3 series with Bilsteins. I know BMW's inside and out but the Volvo is new to me and I'm looking for any advice on this.

Thanks,

Jon

No, that's not normal for volvo, or any car. Get a 2nd opinion; something is worn/loose in the steering linkage (tie rods) or front suspension.
