MAP Sensor Failure w/ Check Engine Light
Took my 2005 V70 (non-turbo 2.4L) to the dealer yesterady because Check Engine Light came on. After a $99 diagnosis and codes 100A and 140A came up I was told it needs a new MAP Sensor at an additonal cost of $220. My car has 52K miles and is just our of warranty for this part.
When I called around to compare prices, another Volvo dealer told me that the non-turbo V70 does not have a MAP sensor, only a MAF sensor. First dealer still insists my car does have a MAP Sensor and had tech confirm this. Who is correct?
Today the Check Engine Light is not coming on. Is the part still failed or am I getting a BS treatment from the first dealer that did the original computer diagnosis? I'm now wondering if I should even have it replaced now...
Any helpwould bemuch appreciated. Thanks.
