I'm fairly confident this is a flywheel clutch issue but wanted to make sure before I start going down that road.

From a complete stop, more noticeably on a hill when I release the clutch and start to accelerate I get what sounds like a metal on metal scraping from the front left of the car. Once I'm traveling, shifting on the highway, down shifting to a stop etc... I don't get the sound, only on take off.

Is this a flywheel clutch problem (145K on the two of them, both original) or something else weird and Volvoish?
