multi-wire connector in spare tire area

Just poking around my new (to me) '03 2.4T - found a large, multi-wire connector hanging loose in the spare tire compartment. Anyone know what it is for - trailer wiring? CD changer? rear seat ejection system?

It should have like 6 to 8 wires in it?
I think that is for the Trailer wiring harness.
