Need help! Big dumb mistake while changeing timing belt
guys im new to the volvo scene
i have a 1998 V70 AWD turbo
i bought the car with a bad timing belt. all the bearings came out of the mechanical tensioner
anyway i was in a rush to finish the job and marked my cam gears but forgot to mark the crankshaft. for the life of me i couldnt find the marks on the crank pulley. so then i started looseing the crank nut with the air gun and i slightly moved it to the left but realized that i completely screwed up and messed up timing.
can someone help me figure out how i would reset the timing since i moved the crank with out moving the cams. it must have only moved one tooth but regardless i screwed up and want to be sure im not going to bend all my valves in the end.
thanks in advance for your help

Where is the crankshaft timing belt pulley alignment mark? This very small grove is difficult to see so get a good light and find it. Below is the best picture I could find for this mark, there is a close up photo which is pretty good.

Roll the crank 1 or 2 teeth back, install the belt and roll the engine, by hand, until the timing marks show as in the link above.
The tensioner just has to hold the belt till you find your index.
When you get there, make the necessary adjustment.
Go slowly, take your time. It'll work
