Default Need your help - air in oil??

I posted on another thread that i have a bad water pump, but I have another issue and need your ideas on what might be happening...

Checked the oil and I saw a lot of air bubbles on the dipstick and in the oil. What might this mean??

Hello, What it might mean is the "O" rings on the oil pickup tube are leaking and allowing air to be drawn into the oil. I don't know how often it happens. It's not a Volvo-specific occurrence. Kira

Are you saying that you drained the oil out of the car and the oil in the oil pan had air bubbles in it?

Went away for the weekend... I pulled the dipstick and there are bubbles on it and in the oil. Made the same check on my S80 to confirm what it out to look like. Additional research supports Kira's position of oil pan pick up seals have failed. I haven't driven it since this discovery. And... there's a sucking/gurgling sound. Not good. Thanks for the comments.
