Default New V70 Owner

Hello All!!! Just last week a family member gave me their 2001 V70 T5 Volvo. I have never owned a Volvo but so far I am greatly impressed. I do have one question though.

In the dash, there is a spot on the tachometer that shows the time and temperature and it is very dim, almost as if the bulb is burned out. Is this an easy fix?

Default Not Sure

Hello, On my '02 the time and temp are displayed via a yellowish segment display. In any case of weak LCD or neon display the very first step is to unplug, clean and remake any connection involved. Are the numbers themselves what you're talking about? Kira

It is the numbers. I can't see it at all but whenever the sun shines on it I can see its there. How can I fix this?

Default Perhaps...

Hello again, If the previous owner had an amicable relationship with the dealer PERHAPS you can show them the display and ask if it's a familiar condition. Then maybe they'll give you the straight dope. Try the process I mentioned above first. Kira
