Question Is this normal

Hi, I am new to this site as I have only just got my first volvo.
I have a 2005 V70 2.4. The car ran faultlessly for the first month, then developed a kind of grinding vibration on acceleration.
The car was still under warranty so the garage said it was the top engine mount which they duly replaced, so far so good.
This cured the problem but I am now left with slight vibration through the gas pedal under acceleration. If I drive gently then it is hardly noticable at all and it is not really terrible when driven a bit harder, but I know it's there and I'm not sure whether this is normal.
I suppose I notice it more because I have just changed from a Range-Rover and I have been spoilt with air suspension, but I don't miss the fuel bills.
Also I am averaging about 28-29mpg. I havn't been on any long journeys with it yet and was wondering if this is about right.
Sorry to go on so long but I thought I would get all my questions out in one go.

Default Funny thing is...

Hello, Funny thing is, you didn't ask even one question. Is the garage you went to for the engine mount a Volvo dealership? Did they inspect the other mounts? Inspect the axles, CV joints and their boots (gaitors?) while it's still under warranty. Without knowing anything about your driving conditions the cited mileage sounds pretty average. How many miles on your V70? Good luck with it. Kira

Welcome to VolvoForums.com and to Volvo ownership. There is a chance that you have another bad mount. Also, the new mount could be a little stiff. How many miles do you have? Have them check the mount on the front of the car.
