Hey... its a 2000 V70R AWD... my drivers side front wheel has been making this bizarre sound, it started off as a clicking then a tapping now it sounds like theres just metal loose and clanking around in the front end there somewhere. Here and there itll click and bang around... sometimes its loud as hell, and sometimes you really done even hear it... any ideas????

If it makes it any easier, when it was on the lift, the Volvo mechanic looked at (didnt test drive it) but said everything LOOKED good. So if its something that looks obvious... it can prolly be ruled out

 

Yeah well when the Mech doesn't take it for a drive you know they don't honestly care. Just like when I had my car serviced at the local dealership. I told them two problems and they didn't even take it for a test drive to hear them. Guess what, both problems still exist.

 

lol, I usually would have thought that... but the place was about to close... the guy wanted to go home... he said hed take a second to look at it so long as it was already on the lift...

 

Well, its def. something with my trans. They drove it around yesterday and thats what theyre saying...

 

99V70 made a clicking noise, turned out to be loose drive shafts? justneeded tightning.
