Default odometer light is out

Hello

I have a 2000 V70 with about 150k miles.
The odometer light recently went out. You can barely make out the numbers. There are no other issues that I can tell. Is it simply a bulb or is there a fuse for this. None of the other display lights are bad.

Thanks
bob

I had a light out on my console, my solution was to tap and flick the dash, that was almost two years ago now light still works well.

Good luck

Bob,

Have a 165k 98 V70 with same issue. Haven't fixed it yet, but should just be the bulbs from everything I've read and researched. On mine, left half of speedo is lit, right half is not. Can't read the odo which sits just below the speedo needle. I believe it is all on the same fuse, so it's just a bulb issue. Check the site search and you'll find companies which sell the dashlight bulb kits, if youre DIY.

Good news for meAnything over 70 mph and I can honestly say, "officer, I have no idea why you pulled me overI'm completely in the dark."

Yes usually it is just the bulb. You have to pull the top of the dash off to get the cluster out to fix the bulb.
