Are there any dangers of having the tranny fluid over-full? 2001 V70 T5

Yes it could cause damage to the tranny.

Either pull the drain plug for a second then put it back in or find a way to suck some out through the dipstick tube.

where's drain plug? I'll go out and take care of it ASAP...drove it about 15 miles overfull...

The drain plug is in the bottom if the transmission. I use a 15/16's wrench.

Made me think for a second....then I remembered....probably a GM tranny.

I couldn't believe it when I changed the fluid in my S80, and realized it was a 4t60e GM Transmission.

siphoning it out with engine running...5 degress in upstate NY w/ sno on ground & no garage....
