Is there any way to obtain a book or CD or any other media with component location information?

 

Look for a program called VADIS. ebay might still have some floating around.
Or you can get it for free through a torrent site.

 

Be careful with e-bay. Another member bought their VADIS on ebay, paid, and it never arrived. The seller is no longer a registered member. Most are just pirated copies anyways.

 

That was me, and I have since noticed other copies available from members with little or no feedback..... ebay at your own risk. I would like info on this 'torrent' site.

Check at your library, they might have a subscription to AllData.

 

It is basicly file sharring, which might not be legal, but a lot of people do it.
There are a bunch of torrent sites, but utorrent seems to be a good one.
Do a google search for it, and see if they still offer the program for download.
It might take a LONG time to download, for it all depends on how many clients you can download it from.

Look on ebay, but as others posted, be carefull, and look for a descent seller.
Also check out other forums.
