Default P0171 and IPD SR5T Air Intake

Greetings All,
I read some of the P0171 code related threads and unfortunately didn't help to solve my problem.. I recently installed the ipd's cold air intake with k&n filter to my 98 c70 at 113K miles. Prior the installation I had no problems related to this issue.
Probably after driving around for 30 miles, the car felt like it lost some power, the throttle was not responding properly and the car gave the p0171, system too lean code. Following the conversations with ipd and reading some forums, I cleaned the MAF, checked out the hoses but nothing did fix the problem. I loveeed the noise and the quasi-kick that the filter was giving but I replaced the original filter box back on to the car. A long drive went by pretty smooth, no problems or CEL. I am wondering if anyone else had a similar issue? The filter wasn't too oily or anything, but I used a k&n before on a atmospheric engine and it was sounding a lot louder than what it sounds like on the volvo. At my C70, I hear a lot more turbo noise but also some "windtunnel" like wind noise..
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
