Default ipd or est intake

im debating whether to get the est intake, or ipd's new short ram intake, i want the one that will give me the most performance and a nice sound of the stock bov volvo s70 glt

They are the same exact thing. Might be made different unse different materials but what it comes down to is that they are the same thing.

You will gain about the same power from each one and will get the same sound from each one.

You do not have a stock BOV you have what is called a CBV.

CBV is the same thing as a BOV except it circulates the air that would of been blown off back into the air intake. Thus you hear no noise. With the EST intake you hear the blow off, I assume its the same for IPD's.
