Relatively new to the forum, so this may already have been covered.
Having managed to detach the rear spoiler from the car, I would appreciate tips on the best way of handling it while spraying (using aerosol paint)- as both sides will need to be painted at the same time, and apart from the two embedded fixing bolts that I don't want to risk damaging, there is nothing from which to hang or support the spoiler.
Also, does lacquer need to wait till base coats dry before applying ?

curious if this is a hard or soft spoiler. when you say lacquer, are you referring to the clear coat? To note, there are auto paint speciality shops that will mix custom paints into a rattle can for you. I've used Levine's Automotive in Danbury CT for this but there's others. They can mix in paint softeners to make it flexible for bumpers, spoilers etc and recommend a correct primer and clear coat. A quick google suggests clear can be applied after the base has set for 30 minutes then do 4-5 coats of clear on 10 minute intervals.
