Possible failing ETM
Unfortunately I just found out that my ETM warranty expired in March on my 01 V70 non-turbo.
I was wondering if this is a symptom of a failing ETM or MAF or both.Since buying the car 3yrs ago it's always idled around 750-800 rpm's while in park and 800-850 rpm's while in drive. I thought it was a dirty throttle body so I cleaned it late last week and it seemed to make a huge difference where in park it would idle at 850-900 rpm's. It even drove and shifted better and seemed to have a better throttle response. Well late yesterday and today I noticed that my throttle response was different and was back idling at 750-800 rpm's again.
Another thing that it always did was when I would go from reverse or drive into park the rpm's would dip down in the 500's and back up to 750- 800 range. After I cleaned the ETM it stopped doing that but yesterday it came back.
It's never thrown a CEL or had any pending codes. Any Idea's?
