Default post-tow front end shudder woes... CV joint stuck!!

hi,
my 2002 v70 xc was illegally towed last month. it was parked downhill with wheels toed into the curb. the truck driver yanked it away from the curb to hook up then dragged it onto a flatbed by the lower control arms. at the impound yard i witnessed the car being moved around by a forklift holding the front wheels while the rear wheels rolled (i know this is a mortal sin for AWD cars). additionally the steering wheel was locked, the wheels were at full right-lock and the car was in park!

since the ordeal, the car violently pulled to the left and shimmied under braking and acceleration. i replaced the front lower bushings (which were trashed, likely damaged by the tow driver yanking it away from the curb to hook up), the sway bar links, the ball joints and did the brakes. the car was totally out of allignment after the tow, but since all the work the above mentioned problems seem solved with the exception of the shuddering under acceleration. to address that i had the half shafts replaced although my mechanic was only able to do the passenger side...the driver side he could not get out of the main case (after 2 separate attempts).

now the entire front end of the car has been done and I am left with a mysteriously stuck half shaft and a terrible "wobble" under acceleration. not an issue at constant speed or decelleration. the CV joint is stuck, big time. I spoke with Volvo delaer and they mentioned that moving the car while in park by the front wheels only may have screwed with the splines and "burred" them together??

Anyone ever had a similar issue? any ideas? i am most definitely taking the tow company to claims court, but would love to know how to get my car running properly in the interim, as it feels pretty unsafe and terrible to drive as it sits.
thanks

While pulling the at by the control arms likely damaged them (I'd replace the whole arm not just the bushings), none of this would do anything to the front CV axles. Its common for the LF axle to be hard to remove, especially without using the special tool to remove it

thanks for the info. i actually have since replaced the lower control arms, but still have issues with the CV joint being stuck. What is the special tool that is used to remove it? Where can it be obtained?
Thanks again.
