Lightbulb Power-hungry V70 GLT

I have a semi-stock turbocharged '99 V70 GLT and I'm looking to get a lot more power under the hood. I have a cold air intake put in which gave it a little boost, but I'm looking to free the biggest beast possible under the hood. Any suggestions, guidance, etc.? I'm trying to get some bang for my buck also, having a low-income job and such. Any guidance from someone who knows more about cars than me (pretty much anyone) would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

1. What is your budget?
2. What are your Hp goals?

With these two things we can better pin point your options.

- STAGE ZERO should be done first. That info can be found here, https://volvoforums.com/forum/general-volvo-chat-5/volvoforums-resources-thread-7317/

- Normal upgrades consist of intake (Which you have done), mind posting pics of that for us. You say CAI which would be a custom build for most Volvo owners. Next would be a mandrel bent downpipe and mandrel bent catback system (3" downpipe,2.5" to 3" catback system with a free flowing straight through design muffler), followed by an ECU upgrade.

*Like I said these are the typical mods people with Volvo's who mod them do. Best to do them in that order too with STAGE ZERO being first before all of them.

Here are some other mods that will be good...

- FMIC setup
- Turbo upgrade from the 13g turbo to a 16t or bigger (With supporting mods after a 16t)

Your looking for low budget I take it, well you bought the wrong car to mod to do that. The Volvo aftermarket while we do have parts available is nowhere near the Honda, Soobie, Toyota aftermarkets. That means a niche market meaning $$$$. Nothing is cheap. Custom made is the way to go because it can usually be done for less then what the prefabbed stuff sells for.
